Ambrose Keating (32), of Halsall lane, Aughton, and John McLoughlin (32), of Elm Place, Bickerstaff, both employed at munitions works, were ordered find work on farms and report monthly. Both applicants were the only supports of widowed mothers, McLoughlin having three brothers in the Army.

Funerals

Mr. J. McLoughlin

   The funeral took place at St Anne's R.C. Church, Ormskirk, last week of Mr. McLoughlin, of 2 Park Avenue, Ormskirk.
   Mr McLoughlin who was 80 years of age and a widower, was employed for many years by the Ormskirk Urban District Council prior to his retirement, and was known to many throughout the district.
   Requiem Mass was celebrated by the Rev. Fr. Walter, O.S.B.
   The chief mourners were Mr. and Mrs J. Mcloughlin (son and daughter-in-law), Mr. Thomas McLoughlin (son), Mr. and Mrs. E. McLoughlin (son and daughter-in-law), Mr and Mrs. M. McLoughlin (brother and sister-in-law), Mr P. Tootle (brother-in-law), Mr. P. McLoughlin (nephew), Mrs K. Spencer (niece), Mrs. W. Warrington (niece), Mr. Duncalf.
