Thefts of Cabbages
STOLEN CABBAGES
Frank Pring, waiter, of Wilton-hill, Taunton, was summoned by John William Branton for stealing one cabbage, valued 3d, from an allotment.
He pleaded guilty, and added, "But not with felonious intent."
Walter James Parratt, of Upper High-street. Taunton, said he went into a shed at the far end of the allotment at 10.50 a.m. on February 7th. Five minutes later he saw Pring go to his own plot. Defendent did not know he was in the shed. He saw Pring wrap or unwrap something in paper. Defendent looked around and then pulled up a cabbage from Mr. Branton's plot.
