MADDEN'S VEGETABLE ESSENCE,

A Remedy highly and justly celebrated for its easy operation and wonderful effects in the above complaints.

From Mr. Joseph Kimpton, Rye, Sussex, to Mr Madden.

Sir - I feel great pleasure in the performance of what I consider a duty incumbent on me, that is, to acknowledge the great benefit my daughter, Ann Kimpton, has experienced from the use of your Vegetable Essence. She was some time ago seized with a violent astmatic complaint, attended with a dreadful cough, which compelled her to quit the service she was in. The complaint continued for four months, and reduced her to a mere skeleton; indeed, her medical attendant despaired of her recovery. Hearing of your valuable medicine, through the medium of your agent at this place, M. Coleman Library I purchased a bottle. However, upon it being stated to you I had a large family, you were so kind as to give directions for my daughter to be supplied GRATIS. Upon taking the medicine, she found speedy relief; and, by perseverance, is now, thank God, restored to health, and enabled to resume her former situation as child maid. I sincerely thank you for your goodness in which my daughter most cordially joins.

I am, Sir, your grateful humble Servant,
Rye, 17th. October, 1812    JOSEPH KIMPTON

The above Statement I believe to be perfectly correct,
   JOHN MYERS, Vicar of Rye.
