Rye Weddings

Miss F. B. Kimpton and Mr. C. W. Polhill.

A Pretty wedding took place at Rye Methodist Church on Sunday, when Miss Frances Betty Kimpton, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Kimpton, of 112 High-street, Rye, was married to Mr. Charles William Polhill, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. Polhill, of Backfields Cottage, Winchelsea.
The Minister (the Rev. J. S. Elmont) officiated, and the service included the hymns "Lead us, Heavenly Father," and "O perfect love." Mr. W. Golden was at the organ.
Given away by her father, the bride looked charming in an ankle-length dress of blue crepe de chine, with hat and shoes to tone. She carried a sheaf of lillies.
Mr Leonard Polhil (brother of the bridegroom) was best man.
There was only one attendant, Miss Dorothy Polhill (sister of the bridegroom), who was dressed in green flowered voile and carried a bouquet of bronze chrysanthemums.
After the ceremony a reception was held at Gungarden Hall, where nearly 60 guests assembled.
Mr. and Mrs. Polhill will live at 36 Elder-gardens, Gipsy-road, West Norwood, London, S.E.27.
